Delete your VidUP account

VidUP app, operated by VidUP LLC

Last updated October 17, 2026

This page explains how to delete your VidUP account and the data associated with it. It applies to VidUP accounts created in the VidUP iPhone app, the VidUP Android app, and the VidUP web app. You can delete your account right here on the web, without installing the app. The VidUP app and service (vidup.co) are operated by VidUP LLC. For full details on how we handle data, see our Privacy Policy.

1. Delete your account on the web

You don’t need the app. Sign in with your VidUP email and password, review what will be deleted, then confirm.

Deleting your account permanently removes:

  • your account, name, email, website, and password;
  • all your videos, poster images, and captions;
  • your player link, which stops playing everywhere it is embedded.

Have VidUP Pro? Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel it in your store settings first (see section 3).

Your VidUP account has been deleted.

Your account, videos, and player link have been removed. If you had VidUP Pro, remember to cancel the subscription in your App Store or Google Play settings.

Web deletion works at vidup.co/delete-account. You can also use the app or email us (see below).

2. Delete your account in the app

  1. Open VidUP and sign in.
  2. Go to Account.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  4. Read what will be deleted, enter your password, and confirm.

Can’t sign in? Email hello@vidup.co from the email address on your VidUP account and ask us to delete it. We’ll reply to confirm the request, then delete the account and its data as described below.

Deletion happens immediately when you confirm on the web or in the app: you are signed out and your account, profile, videos, and player link are removed right away (see section 4). Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

3. Cancel your subscription separately

If you subscribe to VidUP Pro, deleting your VidUP account does not cancel the subscription. App Store and Google Play subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google and must be cancelled in your store settings:

  • iPhone: Settings › your name › Subscriptions › VidUP › Cancel Subscription.
  • Android (Google Play, where available): Google Play › your profile › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions › VidUP › Cancel.

Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid the next charge. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep VidUP Pro until the end of the period you already paid for. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies, and VidUP does not provide refunds or credits for partial periods (see Terms of Use §8).

4. What we delete

  • Your account and profile: email address, first and last name, website address, hashed password, user ID, and account timestamps.
  • Your player code: your permanent play.vidup.co/{code} player. After deletion it no longer shows your video anywhere it is embedded, so remove the embed code from your sites.
  • Your content: uploaded videos, poster images, and captions.
  • Sign-in sessions: active sessions for your account.
  • Sign-up and usage records: how you found VidUP (campaign tags, referring page, landing page), the app you signed up from, and product usage events tied to your account.
  • Subscription records: VidUP’s copy of your App Store or Google Play subscription status. (This does not cancel the subscription itself; see section 3.)

5. What we keep, and for how long

As our Privacy Policy explains, when you close your account we delete or de-identify the associated video and account data from active systems, with these exceptions:

  • Backups and logs: copies in backups and logs may persist for a limited rolling period after deletion, and are purged as those backups and logs roll over.
  • Security, disputes, and legal compliance: we keep information we must retain for security, dispute, or legal compliance reasons (for example, records tied to a copyright complaint, an abuse investigation, or a legal request), only for as long as that purpose requires.
  • De-identified data: data that has been de-identified so it no longer identifies you.

Some records are outside VidUP’s control: Apple and Google keep their own purchase and billing records under their policies, and we cannot delete copies that other people saved from your public player link while it was live.
